Who is the experience for?

Perfect for groups aged between 8-18. All of our packages have been carefully curated but we are always happy to create a bespoke package to fit with your school's requirements, just give us a call to discuss.

Where do you visit?

We are based in Dorset and also cover Devon, Somerset, Wiltshire and Hampshire. We do travel further afield but please note this will add a transport fee to cover costs, we would love to discuss the best options available for you.

Do you have any accreditation and awards?

All instructors are NCFE qualified, DBS checked, Outdoor First Aid trained, hold Food Hygiene Level 2 and Safeguarding Level 2 qualifications.

How big are the group sizes?

We keep our ratio at a maximum of 1:14 for optimum quality and safety. With two instructors we can see up to 28 participants per session.

Do we need any equipment or resources?

All equipment and resources are provided, allowing everyone to participate. We may need access to water/electricity.

Can a teacher or leader participate?

Yes, one teacher or leader can participate free with each group. Need extra leaders? No problem, just let us know at booking.

Have you got any pricing information?

Depending on the experience prices can range from as low as £12 per person. Check out our package menu for more details.

What clothing will we need on the day?

School uniforms are absolutely fine, dress for the weather and be prepared to get a little bit dirty. There will be handling of natural materials and a chance you may get smoky clothes.

Do you cover first aid?

Yes, all staff are first aid trained and adhere to strict operating procedures. Full risk assessments for each activity and dynamic risk assessment forms are sent over prior to arrival. The Bushcraft Bus is a member of the IOL of Practitioners and we have full public liability insurance up to £5 million.

Who are the instructors?

Jim and Tom are outdoor instructors, avid travellers, adventure seekers and conservationists. Friends on a mission to bring bushcraft and nature to those who experience barriers to access.

Can we take photos/video/audio?

Yes, we are more than happy for schools to take any photos or recordings during the sessions.
